I must say I am pretty excited about this post about the best unisex gift ever! Not only because its the first time I’ve posted about a unisex gift either. The reason I’m excited is because I can write about it first had because I actually bought one for myself via EZ e Sports Store! I was so thrilled with it that I had to add it to the many great gift ideas in our Gift Store!
I was going to write a review on this blog about how good this watch is but I don’t think it’s necessary because I’ve already written one called the WTC L38 Smartwatch review.
Having said that I may include a couple of new things that I’ve discovered about this brilliant smartwatch since writing that post and why its the best unisex gift ever.
Best Unisex Gift Is A Smartwatch
Ever since the birth of the Apple Watch almost everyone wanted one but the exorbitant price put it out of reach of most. Buying one for a gift was definitely out of the question. Now that other, cheaper, smartwatches have entered the market, giving a smartwatch as a unisex gift has finally become a reality. But which one to buy. There are many negative reviews written about the cheaper smartwatches. Which is why I took it upon myself to source one.
My new smartwatch was sourced from China and took about five weeks to arrive. You can see me taking it out of the package below. The video also shows some of the special features of the smartwatch.
As far as unisex gifts go this is one that would suit almost anyone. It looks so good it would even pass as a dress watch. Some of the people who have seen me wearing this watch have even mistaken it for an Apple Watch! Could you imagine their eyes light up in anticipation when opening their gift to see a smartwatch?
To date I’ve had no issue with my smartwatch, other than the TV remote not working. The supplier has offered to refund me some of the money. I may take it but I’m pushing them to find out what the issue is. To be quite honest with you the tv remote part of the smartwatch is not really an issue with me.
I promised you a couple of tips that I’ve learned about my smartwatch. In the video you will notice that I do it using the settings menu. You can actually do it by pressing the middle of the watch face gently while in the home screen menu. The other is once you’ve set the alarm you can turn the watch off so you don’t get annoyed by any notifications from your smartphone. The alarm will sound, or vibrate depending on your selection, at the required time asking you if you would like to turn the watch on, Pretty cool huh?
If you have any questions ask away in the comments section If you would like to see the smartwatch in all it’s glory in the Gift Store click HERE.
I did a post not so long ago on the Fitbit Charge HR and how it would make a great gift. I had a few mates telling me though that not everyone could afford to gift a Fitbit.
I understand that times are tough and that being the case I thought it would be a great idea to come up with some more affordable sports heart rate monitors.
Wukong JW018 Smart Band Bracelet
I was actually surprised at how many sports smart band bracelets that were reasonably priced on the market. I decided to show you the Wukong JW018 smart band bracelet because it had most of the features of my Fitbit Charge HR. These include…
Heart rate monitor to track your heart rate during exercise
No need to carry your smartphone during sports activities as it stores up to 7 days of information.
All information is available on the bracelet including time, steps, heart rate, calories and status.
Silent vibration reminders including any incoming calls. I love that my Fitbit shows me who is calling on my mobile and it looks like the Wukong JW018 Smart Band Bracelet has the same feature.
It also shows a whole heap of stats. The only fault I could find is that it only holds a two day charge, my Fitbit lasts at least 4 days. Still, that shouldn’t be too much of a deterrent as it’s easily charged using the supplied USB charger.
The Wukong JW018 Smart Band Bracelet will connect to any Bluetooth 4.0 smartphone which means it would support iPhone and most androids.
I know you’re all wondering how much this baby will set you back. You can get the Wukong JW018 Smart Band Bracelet on eBay for a little over $54 or you can get one on AliExpress for a cool $32.75. I’ve already sold on the Gift Guru’s Gift Store so I can see this being a very popular item!
This link will take you straight to the Wukong JW018 Smart Band Bracelet at my gift store.
Do you happen to own a Wukong JW018 Smart Band Bracelet? If so I’d love it if you can tell us your experience.
Note: While you can find the Fitbit on Amazon it’s always a good idea to check eBay to see if you can find a better deal. If the Fitbit Charge HR is more than you want to pay then I recommend you check out some of the cheaper copies available at my new Gift Store.
it was my birthday on the weekend and I got the best gift ever. I dropped a couple of hints leading up to my birthday and so I was really hoping the hints would take fruit. When I opened my birthday and saw my Fitbit Tracker I was absolutely thrilled. There are quite a few Fitbit Trackers available and I was lucky enough to get the Fitbit Charge HR which I’m reviewing for this post. You can see a collection of all the Fitbits available on this page.
Fitbit Charge HR Review
You can see me wearing my Fitbit Charge HR in the image on the left. Normally you don’t see the digital display unless you give the Fitbit a tap or when you bring your wrist up and twist it. I found that to be pretty cool.
Fitbit Charge HR Features
The Fitbit can track so many activities. I reckon the Fitbit Charge HR’s best feature is that it can track so many aspects of my daily activities. This includes steps, distance, floors climbed, calories burned, total amount of minutes I’ve been active as well as telling the time! If I was to go for a run it would also display run time, pace and distance travelled.
I actually went for a walk/jog/run and my Fitbit app not only recorded distance, time and pace it also used the GPS feature of my iPhone to map out my complete exercise route.
My Fitbit Charge HR also monitors my sleep including stats such as hours slept, times awakened and my sleep quality. It’s even got a silent vibrating alarm so that I don’t have to worry about waking up the missus.
As far as I’m concerned though I reckon the Fitbit Charge HR’s most important feature is that it continually monitors my heart rate. It doesn’t matter if I’m asleep, just sitting in front of the TV or working out, the Fitbit tracker gives me continuous updates of my heart rate.
The Fitbit is the perfect gift for almost anybody who wants to get fit. It helps you to get motivated and to stay motivated. With the Fitbit app you can also compete with friends who also have the Fitbit tracker. I know I love mine and as you can see from other Fitbit Charge HR owners, they love theirs as well
